Beautiful Paint Rock David. This stuff takes an awesome polish and cabs very well. I would like to get back up there one of these days.
Attached are some of the slabs and finished cabs cut from material picked up at Rodney's sites in Trenton, AL.
Looks like Rodney may be getting a trip up back to Paint Rock in March. I just finished the attached cab from the slab I posted earlier. The other cabs are Tepee Agate from South Dakota and quartz with lazulite, kyanite and pyrite from Graves Mountain. The slab is the Tepee agate from the Black Hills.
Nice--I like the Graves Mtn. stuff---Do you have any rutile specimens from there?
Thanks, I have a few small crystals but nothing to compare with what some folks have found there. They have open weekends at the pit each April and October that I try and go to. Each time I learn something new about the place and find better specimens.
David, I think you found the best to ever come from that site!
Wow, those are nice. I hope to make it there this year also.
